Ayad Al Adhamy is a multi-Instrumentalist music Producer, mixer, engineer and owner of world class recording Complex, Diamond City Studio in Brooklyn NY.

 

Responsible for 100M+ streams and thousands of record sales, Ayad has an arranging forward, songs first production mentality that has helped propel the careers of many artists, most notably The Happy Fits, who have had critical acclaim with their album What Could Be Better, as well as Top 30 Alternative Radio and Sirius Digital success with "Hold Me Down".

 

While not producing, Ayad acts as the studio's head engineer, working on records by Cold Heart, Sarah Kinsley, Acid Dad and more. Diamond City has also been used by other great producers such as Jake Aron (Snail Mail / Chairlift), Jonny Schenke (Parquet Courts / The Drums) as well as writing sessions for artists such as Frank Ocean, SZA and Jade Bird.

 

Prior to Diamond City, Ayad was the singer/guitarist in Team Spirit (Vice/WBR) with songs licenses to Pepsi during the Soccer World Cup 2014, as well as McDonalds as well as the original Synthesizer player for Passion Pit, touring the world, playing festivals and working on official remixes for the likes of the Beastie Boys, Phoenix, Two Door Cinema Club and more.

 

Ayad's passion extends beyond recording and into music release, creative direction and marketing. He formerly ran Black Bell Records (ADA/WBR) signing acts like The Joy Formidable, Guards and Stepdad, and currently operates Diamond City Records (The Orchard) helping independent artists release their music with a full label structure while being in complete control of their masters.

 

When Ayad is not producing and engineering he manages artists at Diamond City MGMT, such as The Happy Fits, Phoneboy, Hot Freaks, The Palms, Boychik and more.

Craig Almquist is a multi-instrumented composer, producer, engineer, and in-house drummer at the studio. His band Cold Fronts recorded their sophomore album Fantasy Du Jour at Diamond City in 2017 and began working at the studio full time in 2020.

 

He’s toured the country supporting acts like Hinds, The Cribs, White Reaper, Sunflower Bean, Dan Deacon, and The Vaccines. Currently Craig is releasing music under his own name and has begun to work with other artists on his own label Never Better Records
